Salt pot (provenance number 281)
Salt pot (provenance number 281)
£24.00
Here is a nice shrink -pot that would be ideal for containing salt for cooking. Made out of a Poplar branch, from the village of Stisted in Essex, and an Ash base, from Bradfield woods in Suffolk, the body has shrunk onto the pre-dried base to make a tight fit. No glue has been used, and the base will never come out as it has been trapped by the shrinkage of the body.
Painted in milk-paint (mulberry) and finished with a coating of bees wax this pot will look great in any kitchen setting.
The pot is approximately Ø80mm x 83mm high.
