Here is a porridge spurtle, hand made on my foot-powered pole-lathe. It is made from locally sourced Sycamore and finished with a coating of cold pressed hemp oil.
It features a turned acorn and two decorative burn lines at the end.
Traditionally used to stir porridge, it is also very good at stirring anything gloopy like risotto or sourdough.
The spurtle is Ø20mm x 285mm long.
To look after your spurtle, just wash in warm soapy water after use (NOT in a dishwasher), and dry.
